A survey of motion analysis from moving light displays

چکیده
Motion-based recognition deals with the recognition of objects or motions directly from the motion information extracted from a sequence of images. There are two main steps in this approach. The rst consists of nding an appropriate representation for the objects or motions, from the motion cues of the sequence, and then organize them into useful representations. The second step consists of the matching of some unknown input with a model. This paper provides a review of recent developments in motion-based recognition.

Design and Construction of a Seismometer Based on the Moiré Technique: Detailed Theoretical Analysis, Experimental Apparatus, and Primary Results
We have built a vertical seismometer that works based on the moiré technique. One grating is attached to the suspended mass and one to the frame of the instrument. The two gratings are in relative motion, and the resulting moiré pattern magnifies this motion. The intensity of a light beam passing through the moving moiré fringes changes with time, and a light detecting syst...
متن کاملFMRI responses to video and point-light displays of moving humans and manipulable objects.
We used fMRI to study the organization of brain responses to different types of complex visual motion. In a rapid event-related design, subjects viewed video clips of humans performing different whole-body motions, video clips of manmade manipulable objects (tools) moving with their characteristic natural motion, point-light displays of human whole-body motion, and point-light displays of manip...
متن کاملResponses of Anterior Superior Temporal Polysensory (STPa) Neurons to "Biological Motion" Stimuli.
Abstract Cells have been found in the superior temporal polysensory area (STPa) of the macaque temporal cortex that are selectively responsive to the sight of particular whole body movements (e.g., walking) under normal lighting. These cells typically discriminate the direction of walking and the view of the body (e.g., left profile walking left). We investigated the extent to which these cells...

Moving light displays (MLDs) have been used extensively to study motion perception and perception of the human gait in particular. MLD perception is largely considered to be structural, i.e., perception depends on identiication of human kinematic structure. However, recent work by Little and Boyd has shown that it is possible to recognize individual people, from their gaits, by non-structural m...

Moving single bubble sonoluminescence has been discovered after searches to find the fluids other than water for observing SBSL. The main property of these fluids is their more viscosity rather than water. In this paper, after introducing the forces which act on sonoluminescing bubble, the moving of the bubble have been simulated. For this purpose, the bubble’s equation of motion is coupled w...
